From the moment we checked in, we loved everything about this hotel. The lobby is clean and modern, and the staff are all very friendly. We arrived before our room was ready, but the staff happily held our bags for us while we explored the city until the room was ready. After getting the room, we were stunned by how beautiful it was. It was a large room, with a balcony overlooking the city. There was also a small refrigerator, a lounging area, and a record player. The bed was very comfortable. The rooftop is stunning, with the views of the city and even the Parthenon! We spent a couple of evenings up there, listening to live music from the square below and watching the sun set behind the mountains. When we were there in April, we never encountered another guest on the rooftop, so it was like our own private space. If you stay on the 6th floor, you practically have a private elevator, as it opens directly into the room. Don't worry though, it only opens to the room with a private code. The front desk agent, Martha, was very helpful throughout our stay. She made recommendations for lunch and dinner, and different attractions around town. I highly recommend you stay here during your time in Athens. It's like a private luxury suite in the middle of the city.

We stayed for two nights in a suite with a balcony on the third floor. We were met on arrival by a couple of cheerful, friendly and helpful hosts who got us sorted in our room and later were to provide great restaurant and bar suggestions. Melo is about as central in Athens as you can get. Everything is within walking distance and its location 100 meters up from Monastiraki Square makes it almost impossible to get lost. Psirri offers many cool bars, shops and sights within 5 minutes of Melo. The room was much bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room to spread out. The king sized bed was great, there was a facility to make a coffee, a fridge and a large bathroom with walk in shower. We did not hear any noise from the street. A special treat is access to a rooftop balcony with sunset views to the Acropolis and across town. We had the rooftop to ourselves on both nights for a pre-diner drink before heading out. We ate at Dopios and had a memorable diner on the last night at Oinoscent, both were exceptional.

This is a very small hotel in a great, central location in Monastiraki, a neighborhood of Athens with lots of restaurants, bars and music. Even with all this, it was very quiet in our room. Checking in was a breeze, and the best part is that we received many great recommendations from Katerina, the wonderful person at the front desk! She knows Athens well, and it showed. Breakfast was at a cafe across the street and was excellent, with many good choices.

Laurie

Breakfast was actually provided in a small café across the street. I feel like the hotel was very unique and in its own category of classy, more contemporary than it is Greek . The location was great. It’s very easy to get a taxi from this location so a car is not really needed if you only have a few days in Athens and you want to explore the city this is perfect. The staff was exceptional and they live up to their reputation of super fun!

The accommodation is very centrally located and easy to reach. It is located in a very lively neighbourhood with many bars, cafes and restaurants. The room was very stylishly furnished, clean and had everything we needed. A particular highlight is of course the whirlpool in the room.
